Interim Strategic Partnerships Director
About the position
The assignment focuses on developing and securing new international commercial partnerships for a specialist technology organisation in Life Sciences and healthcare. The immediate opportunity lies with suppliers whose existing systems are reaching end-of-life and whose customers need a reliable route to an alternative solution.
As Interim Strategic Partnerships Director, you take ownership of the full partnership cycle. You identify and engage the relevant C-level, product and commercial decision-makers, shape a workable partnership model and lead negotiations through to agreement. The objective is not only to secure terms, but to make the partnership operationally usable across sales, service and support.
You also define how customer introductions, lead transfer and migration opportunities are handled, ensuring responsibilities, service expectations and handover points are clear. You remain involved until the commercial model and working process function in practice and a qualified pipeline can be transferred into the organisation.
The assignment starts as soon as possible, initially for six months with the possibility of extension. It can largely be delivered remotely, with international travel when required.
Your profile
- At least 10 years in strategic partnerships, alliances, business development or senior commercial roles.
- Proven track record of independently opening and closing complex international B2B partnerships.
- Experience with channel, referral, reseller or comparable commercial partnership models.
- Strong C-level stakeholder management, negotiation skills and commercial judgement.
- Experience with customer migration, product transition or end-of-life propositions.
- Relevant background in Life Sciences, MedTech, healthcare or adjacent technology markets.
