About the position
Marktlink is entering a defining phase of accelerated international expansion. With 22 offices across 10 countries and a strong foundation of 500 FTE, they are scaling towards 1,000–1,200 FTE and targeting revenue growth from €100 million to €500 million.
To lead this next chapter, Marktlink needs a Chief Growth Officer (CGO), a strategic yet hands-on leader who thrives at the intersection of vision and execution. This role is pivotal in shaping and scaling their unique partner-driven expansion model across Europe. As Chief Growth Officer, you sit at the intersection of strategy, execution, and partnership. You are responsible for building the operating backbone that enables Marktlink to scale internationally, faster, more consistently, and with sustained quality.
You are jointly responsible for accelerating Marktlink’s international expansion and building a scalable operating model. This is not a traditional top-down leadership role. Marktlink operates a partner-led model, where success depends on alignment rather than hierarchy.
Success in this role requires leading without formal authority, through trust, credibility, and influence. You act as a servant leader and strategic sparring partner, enabling others to perform at their best. You are the connecting force between partners, countries, and central functions, ensuring that growth is not only ambitious, but also structured, repeatable, and sustainable.
The CGO will be member of the Management Team and owns the Growth & Operations domain across the group. You will work closely with Managing Partners, country leadership, and central functions (Finance, HR, IT, Capital). You will build and lead a scalable growth team.
Your profile
- 15+ years of experience in scaling international, knowledge-driven or professional services organizations
- Proven track record in growing platforms from hundreds to significantly larger scale
- Background in strategy consulting (e.g., Big Four), M&A, or similar environments is highly relevant
- Psychologically savvy and highly aware of stakeholder dynamics
- Approachable, low-ego, and naturally builds trust
- Strong in influence without authority
- Balances standardisation with entrepreneurial freedom
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and execution-focused
- Strong commercial and operational instincts; understands deal-driven business economics
- Experience in performance management, capacity optimization, and operating model design
- Demonstrated success in fast-growing, entrepreneurial environments
- Able to operate seamlessly between strategic, tactical, and operational levels
- Comfortable driving change in a partner-led, international organization
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus
