Global Project Portfolio Manager
About the position
With several asset development projects underway, it is necessary that you establish a sound strategic portfolio plan that captures the lifecycle of each project. In this way, these projects can be maintained, evaluated and monitored constantly. You will oversee all projects and will create a framework including the following milestones; engineering, environmental permitting, EPC contracting, construction and commissioning.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- creating a solid project and financial reporting structure to monitor the progress, budgets and schedules of the projects.
- using various tools and KPIs, ensuring adherence to project timeline, spends and forecast.
- analysing possible risks and improve overall project performance.
- reporting and updating on overall project progress including asset development, risk registry, and mitigation plans, and monitoring status of action plans with engineering firms, environmental permitting consultants and internal stakeholders.
- supporting the development of EPCM contracts and the development of management systems for each chemical processing facility as required by local regulations.
- developing productive relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
Your profile
- Experienced in industrial-based project controls. International experience is a plus
- Master’s degree, preferably in Finance, Engineering or Sciences
- Proven to work in a structured and responsible manner in a highly demanding environment
- Self-starter and a troubleshooter, someone who takes ownership and leadership and who is accountable
- Trustworthy and committed to the company goals and have the ability to perform well under time pressure in a changing environment
About the organisation
WMC Energy is a commodity merchant, supply chain financing specialist and industrial asset development company. The scale-up was founded in 2016 to provide supply chain solutions for the nuclear energy industry. In 2020, they extended their services to the battery materials industry, specifically in raw and refined lithium-ion battery materials. Most recently, they initiated the development of four chemical processing facility projects.
